Smart Cutting Head - SCH
The Smart Cutting Head system is a novelty introduced by the Eagle Company. The control system together with a PC software analyses, before starting the cutting program, the whole cutting process and optimises head movements on the “Z” axis in such a way, that the machine positions itself, melts-through and cuts in the most efficient way.
Due to this system the machine, in case of some production, has efficiency about 30% higher in comparison with machines not equipped with this system.
The cutting head functionalities enable such ultra efficient operation.
This system keeps fixed distance between cutting head and sheet even in situation, when the sheet is uneven or bends itself during cutting, what prevents collisions between cutting head and processed metal sheet. The system detects contaclessly the metal sheet position on the table, adapts program to the sheet position by shifting the coordinate system. The detection of the metal sheet position on the pallet enables to position it freely with no need to displace it, what prevents creation of scratches. This system enables to maintain the cutting head at constant distance from the processed material, regardless of its temperature.
The cutting head design enables to cut thin and thick materials.
The cutting head optics is protected against damage by means of additional protection glass. In case of dirt of damage only this glass is replaced. This increases operational life of lenses and decreases operational costs.
This function enables automatic focusing by the machine control system. This reduces time needed for adjusting focal distance to specific thickness and type of material and facilitates operator’s work.
